Spoke to Dr. Joy Holland today, at the Brooklyn Public Library.  They are
digitizing their Brooklyn photograph collection (18,000 items), much of which
should be posted in the next few months.

Even more tantalizing is BPL's current digitization of the Brooklyn Daily
Eagle from 1841-1902,  which will provide an interesting alternative voice to
the current default use of The New York Times, and open up a new window on
that fascinating borough.

It is a wonderful time to be a working historian.
