Anything printed before 1924 is "public domain" and may be freely reproduced. NewspaperArchive currently has the New York Times from the 1860’s to 1923 online, and is looking to add more titles. "If anyone has access to historic microfilm they’d like to see online, be sure to send us an email" offers Gill. "The more we put on the web ,the more people can learn about their past."
