The 1825 (and 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865) census covered the entire state.
While the statistical summary (which Ed Knoblach would seem to be quoting)
was published and is available in a number of places (including my
library), the enumerators rolls (that has names) in most cases have been
lost. If they survive for Amsterdam, they are most likely in the County
Clerks office.
