Thanks to all of you who have provided advice and direction for
solving the question of the "newsmen's race". NYSL has film for
"The Press", published from 1887 to 1896 and published as
"The New York Press" from 1896 to 1913. As soon as I have had
a chance to read the film, I will summarize the results of my
