Hello New York History List members.

I am searching for the papers Jacob D. Van Der Hayden who was the
owner and developer of much of the land that is now Troy, New York.(Jacob
D. was one of a larger family of land owners in that area; I am only
interested in Jacob D's papers, however.)
In particular I am interested in Van Der Hayden's land and lease
records for Land in Troy for the period from about 1790 to about 1805.
I do not know if these records exist. Obviously they did at one
point, but I am not sure if they were presereved and if so, where they are
now.
I have searched RLIN, OCLC and "Archives USA" (which encompasses
the info from NUCMUC)
I Have to double check with the Rensselaer County Historical
Society.

Any clues or suggestions re: the whereabouts of Jacob D Van Der
Hayden's papers

Thanks for your attention

Ian McGiver
