The camp no longer exists.... However the cemetary where the Confederate
soldiers were burried is still there. It is near the (modern) prison. I don't
know the street address but the prison is a good land mark. The Confederates
are burried between the National cemetary and the city cemetary.
The flag pole that stood at the prison camp is still in Elmira and now stands
on public property at the site of the prison.
Before going check this book, The Elmira Prison Camp by Clay W. Holmes. This
was first published in 1912 and has recently been republished.
