Hi !
would anyone know where I can get information on the 71st Regiment Company
A. of New York
My Gr Gr grandfather was in it and served in the first Battle of Bull Run
According to his Obituary there was a Tablet placed in the 71st Regiment
Armory in which his name held second Place. It was placed by a Colonel
Martin.

His name was Lewellyn S. Lounsberry or could have been spelled Lounsbury.

Also on his records that I received from the Nat'l Archives it shows no
record of him being made Sargent -Major yet it is noted in his obiturary -
Could some one either explain why? or tell me where else I might go to find
out this information
Any help would be appreciated..
