A group of peole left the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1792 and joined with
dissident Baptists, Presbyterians, and Disciples to form the Christian
Church, which united with the Congregational Church in 1931. Later the
Congregational Christian Church united with the Evangelial and Reformed
Church to form a new denomination called United Church of Christ. Contact the
archivists of that large denomination for further information.
