Workshops and presentations on environmental history, budgeting and
grants, local historian & folklore, colonial history, cemetery law, Mohawk
Valley history, county records and access, collections, ethics and the
public historian, NYS Heritage Areas, immigration & industry, and living
history.
Discover some of the historic "jewels" of the Mohawk Valley in conference
exhibit area.
New Historians Workshop & learn how to become a Registered Historian.
Opening Banquet & Keynote Address "Missionaries to the Indians of the
Mohawk Valley" by Dr. Douglas Ambose of Hamilton College.
APHNYS Night at Utica's Historic Union Station--including tour by Michael
Bosak, President of the Landmarks Society of Greater Utica, cocktail party
and dinner in the new Blue Flag Room--followed by a special multi-media
presentation: "Forensic Archeology and the Public Historian" by Dr.
Thomas Crist of Utica College
