A "header" has been added to the Subject: line in postings to NYHIST-L (the electronic discussion list for New York State history). The header appears as "[NYHIST-L]." It will enable subscribers to readily identify NYHIST-L postings.

Messages sent to the NYHIST-L inbox [[log in to unmask]] for review and posting should have subject lines that are specific and brief. That will help subscribers identify the postings they would like to read and perhaps respond to.
