The Upstate History Alliance (formerly the Regional Council of
Historical Agencies) is in the very preliminary stages of developing a
traveling exhibition on the nature of protests in 19th and 20th century
upstate New York. As all of you can guess, at the moment, it's a broad,
wide-ranging topic taking us from suffrage, temperance, abolition and
Anti-Rent Wars to milk strikes, student strikes agains the Vietnam War,
civil rights and social justice protests, enviromental protests and of
course labor strikes and protests in both centuries.

I'm interested in hearing about current scholarship in all these areas,
but particularly in the areas of labor, environmental, social justice
and agriculture. As well, if you know of significant collections of
objects or archives on these topics we'd also be interestedin knowing
about it.

Thanks for the help.
