Solomon Northup, author of his autobiography "TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE" was
kidnapped from Saratoga Springs and sold into slavery for 12 years. In 1853,
Grandfather Solomon was freed and returned to Glenn Falls, NY. In addition
to his autobiography which was published by Derby and Miller of Auburn, NY,
there have been 3 additional books and a video published.

Dr. Clifford Brown of Union College at Schenectady, NY [log in to unmask] has
an exhibition as wells as three historians in Saratoga Springs, NY.
