Dan & List,

I missed the show that you are referring to.  However being a F& I War
reenactor I watched the whole series about the Northwest Frontier, (Michigan
at the time) and know of your frustration with their shows. I agree that they
are mostly aimed at the general audience but they, the producers, should
realize that the people who are "buffs" are going to flock to watch it also.

I live within a couple of hundred yards of the Barge Canal and the remnants
of the Erie Canal and have been involved in some of the historical research
for the Erie Canal School Boat Project. While posting to lists like this
makes list members aware it is really "preaching to the choir".  Perhaps
organizing a "million e-mailer march" on the History Channel website would
accomplish more.
