(1) Sir William Johnson referred to Catherine as his wife in his will.  (2)
He was buried next to her.  (3) When Sir William Johnson's body was later
reburied, his wedding ring was found and was retrieved. (4) Sir John Johnson
inherited his father's title, which he could not have if he was illegitimate.

According to son George's deposition in 1818, Molly Brant and Sir William
Johnson were married according to the customs of her tribe.
