I have found two excellent web sites this week that I think may be of interest to this lists subscribers.

Our own Division of Military and Naval Affairs has put up a site dealing with just about every imaginable Fort in New York history. Really a first class operation with lots of good connections. It is at

http://www.dmna.state.ny.us/forts/forts.html

The other site will be of especial interest to former and present Big Applers. Called Forgotten New York it deals with all sorts of wonderful remnants of an earlier time that are still around such as the last farm in Queens and original woods that still exist on Manhattan. Go to http://www.forgotten-ny.com/

I hope others get as much of a kick out of these sites as I did.
