After a hiatus of a couple months, the statewide list of State Historic Markers is back on the State Museum website. It is in a totally new format, easily searchable by county, with the full text displayed as it appears on the marker, and location data also provided.

This is a database of the 2,800+ "State" markers - erected with state funds in the early years of the program. It does not include private markers yet, but the database will be expanded as time goes by.

Try it out at: http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/srvmarker.html
