Recollection is a bit vague but---there was a bar/tavern called 'Ba-lo's' (sp) that had beef on weck as a specialty. Believe it burned sometime in the 1980's. Aptly namely for being at the corner of Bailey's and Lovejoy (?) streets.

I'm trying to document a Western New York (especially Buffalo and vicinity) bar/tavern sandwich: beef on weck or beef on kummelweck. Any leads would be appreciated, especially anything in writing that pre-dates the 1960s. Thanks.
