Dear friends and fellow list members.

Your knowledge of how Upstate New York was founded and grew is absolutely
amazing. The depth of the information you provide boggles the old brain
cells,

BUT

Are there any New York City history buffs among us, people who know where
the piggery was on east 21st Street in 1863, or where the election day
parades marched before Tammaney Hall moved to Fourteenth Street in 1868?

If not, have you run across any such specialized researchers you could
refer me to? I real need people as knowledgeable as you all are to guide
me through my studies of the City.

Any and all advice deeply appreciated.

A fruitful New Year for us all.

Emily Leonard
