To Serve The Community, A Celebration of Rochester General Hospital 1847
-- 1997.
By Teresa K. Lehr & Philip G. Maples. Donning Company Publishers, 1997.
ISBN 1-57864-017-2. $39.95.

To Serve the Community is a multidimensional view of a community, of the
healthcare problems it faced, and of its responses to the challenges
that the nineteenth and twentieth centuries posed. This pictorial
history is a tribute to the hundreds of Rochesterians who have devoted
their lives to improve the health of this Western New York community at
Rochester City/Rochester General Hospital.

This history is in "coffee table" format 8 1/2 X 11 inches, 208 pages,
with more than 240 color and black and white photographs, 33
biographical sketches of prominent members of the hospital community.

The book may be purchased from the Baker-Cederberg Museum and Archives,
Rochester General Hospital, 1425 Portland Ave., Rochester NY 14621.
