I recently used some information I obtained from a place in Oneida Castle,
NY called the Governor's House...it seems that this house was built in
1848 and was intended to be the first NYS Governor's house. But Oneida
Castle lost to Albany after 3 votes in the legislature. I've been told
that my information is incorrect. Does anyone know this story?
