No, it was a smaller plane than that, a B-25.
Robert A. M. Stern has done a number of books on New York architecture in specific years, but I don't think 1945 was one of them. Perhaps you could get help from the Avery Library of Architecture at Columbia University.

Several years ago, the History Channel produced a documentary on the
ESB. It is still available, I believe, and does include mention of that
B-24 (I think) that hit the building.
