Is anyone familiar with the Simeon De Witt Collection in the New York
Historical Society?

I am interested in some maps that are in this collection (or, at least
were in the collection in 1887).

These maps were drawn by Capt. WM. Gray, of the 4th Penny. REgiment in
1778. They were records of the Attack on the Iroquois lands along the
Susqeuhanna conducted in the fall of 1778.

I am interested in these maps because they show portions of the Schoharie
Valley (where the troops were camped before heading against the Iroquois.)

i have seen a copy of one of the maps in Frederick Cook, JOURNALS OF THE
MILITARY
EXPEDITON OF MAJOR JOHN SULLIVAN AGAINST THE SIX NATIONS OF INDIANS
(1887).

I am interested in seeing the other two maps (which show cobleskill and
schoharie) as well as checking the veracity of the map i did see.

does anyone know of any copies of these maps that have been published?

thanks
