On behalf of the members of the United States Colored Troops Institute for
Local History and Family Research, I am pleased to announce that Vol. 2, No.
2 issue of the USCT Civil War Digest is now available. A single copy of the
6-page newsletter can be obtained for a donation of $1 and 50 cents mailing;
12 copies are available for a $10 donation and $2 mailing. This May 2000
issue includes:

1. Harrisburg Remembers T. Morris Chester [only black correspondent of a
major newspaper during the Civil War; includes photograph, and a picture of
his tombstone with note of error];
2. Identifying Your Civil War Ancestors [picture of Maj. Martin R. Delany,
