LAKE GEORGE (AP) - An archaeological dig at a French and Indian War
battleground in the southern Adirondacks has been given the green
light.

Archaeologist David Starbuck says he has received permission from
state officials to conduct excavations this summer in an area of Lake
George Battlefield Park.
