List,

Does any one on the list have an answer for two questions about Crown Point. Recently there were for sale on QVC old photographs of Fort Crown Point.

 Question #1

There is a photo of a Glacial Pothole with an iron railing around it. I can remember it from when I was a lot younger but not the exact location. It is now no longer there. What happened to it?

 Question #2

Capt. Saunders, who I believe was the light house keeper/ site superintendent, standing by the pierrier (breech loading, reinforced barrel swivel gun) that used to be in the old comfort station building. There is one at Crown Point in the museum now but it does not appear to be the same one as shown in the old photo. What happened to it and why?

Any one have any information on this small mystery?
