If any municipal historians have on file any of their predecessors’ annual reports for any year from 1919 to 1960, I’d appreciate their getting in touch with me.

Not many such reports are known to be on file still at the state level. It is possible they were misfiled away somewhere and will mysteriously turn up some day (such things do happen at the state) or that they were discarded perhaps during one of the periods where there was no State Historian (like now). There is some indication they had mostly disappeared prior to 1974.

It would be nice to turn up more of the older reports, particularly as the 100-year mark approaches for the local historian law.
