Highlights of the 2000 Program include a keynote address by
historian Timothy J. Gilfoyle,  Loyola University of Chicago, on
Friday. Best known for his book "City of Eros," a richly detailed
work on prostitution in New York City, Professor Gilfoyle will draw
on his recent research to present" How  the Other Half Was
Incarcerated: Prison Life in the Age of Riis." Thursday evening
events include an informal reception, poster sessions and  exhibits,
and a screening of the documentary "The City  of Greater New York:
The Story of Consolidation"  with introduction and discussion with
producer Michael Miscione. Panel sessions will take place Thursday
afternnon and Friday.
