I don't know whether you meant parent involvement in homework or in the
classroom, but I've asked for (and received) extra help from parents when
I've brought in classroom research activities.  The kids benefitted from
having more adults on hand to look over shoulders and help with worksheets,
and the parents got to soak up the information too.  It's great to hit two
generations at once.
