Hello,
So plesed that there is so much interest in Hebron. While I can look up
information in the books that I have though it best to forward to all, the
address of a truly wonderful and well versed historian.
Gertrude Paterson
1087 County Rte. 30
Salem, NY 12865

We have a Salem mailing address as the Post Office closed many years ago <g>

In the 1760's a Dr. CLark came with about 300 settlers to the area, he was
both minister and Dr. Some branched out to other areas, most seemed to remain.
As he and his group laid out parcels and allowed new comers to live rent free
for five years to settle the area.

I told Gertrude that I was going to let folks know of her address and
knowledge. Feel free to write her.

For additional information about Hebron's earliest visit the Washington County
Web Page http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Enywashin/. If this address doesn't work
you can get in through Rootsweb.

Good hunting,

Linda
