Researching New York 2002: Perspectives on Empire State History

The revised and updated program for this year's Researching New York
Conference is now available at

In addition to the panels and papers that present a wide range of New York
State history, this year's Conference also features a number of sessions
presented in conjunction with the Albany Heritage program -- an initiative
that showcases the rich and diverse heritage of Albany over the past 350
years.

conference includes Joseph E. Persico, noted author and former speechwriter
for Nelson A. Rockefeller, discussing Rockefeller's impact on the cultural
and political landscape of Albany, New York and Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz
presenting her research on the musical life of early -- Albany accompanied
by a live performance by the Musicians of Ma'alwyck and soprano Beverly O’
Regan Thiele.
