A few months ago I saw a feature about electronic publishing for small scale or special interest books, where the .com company would offer your work over the web to download for a fee, and the author would get a royalty. This was presented as the perfect solution for works of limited audience or very regional markets.

I did not take down the URL of the .com company at the time, but since then, more and more local history writers have asked me about options for their works, and I keep thinking about this new medium as one option they might explore.

A quick search of the Internet listings did not turn up this company. What I keep getting are webpages for electronic books - the kind you read on your PC or hand-held digital "book". Nothing on the web publishing angle.

Does anyone know of it?
