"Joe always had a passion for History and Archaeology which lead him
to a career with NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. For
over 40 years, Joe worked in Archaeology and quite literally moved
mountains, uncovering some of New York State’s earilest history;
including the excavation of Fort Orange, countless early American
Indian sites, the restoration of Olana, excavations at Crown Point.
Joe was instrumental in the meticulous preparation and preservation
for permanent exhibits and collections all across NYS."
