Call For Papers

The Long Island Historical Journal, published jointly by the Department of
History and the Center for Regional Policy Studies and the Department of
History at Stony Brook University, is seeking articles and book reviews for
its Spring 2004 issue and for future issues.

Articles and book reviews on any topic relating to the history of Long
Island (including Suffolk and Nassau Counties and the boroughs of Brooklyn
and Queens), are welcome. Of particular interest are articles or book
reviews on historical research that speaks directly to contemporary policy
issues (e.g. environment, transportation, demographics, race relations,
development, open space and farmland preservation, industrial and economic
development, governmental structure etc.)

Submissions should be 10-30 typed, double-spaced pages (not inclusive of
endnotes), conforming the Chicago Manual of Style, 14th or 15th ed.
