Event in Albany, NY: 2005 Empire State Archives and History Award
to Brian Lamb, Founder and CEO of C-SPAN 

The New York State Archives Partnership Trust, Time Warner Cable and M&T Bank present the inaugural Empire State Archives and History Award to Brian Lamb, Founder and CEO of C-SPAN on Monday October 24, 2005 at 7:30 pm, The Egg, Center for the Performing Arts.  Mr. Lamb is being honored for his contributions to our society's understanding and use of history. After the award ceremony, Harold Holzer, Lincoln scholar will moderate a conversation with Brian Lamb and a question and answer period.  This event is free and open to the public.  Details of the evening program can be found on the Trust website www.nysarchivestrust.org  Reservations are not required.

Meet Brian Lamb at a pre-program reception, Corning Tower Observation Deck, 42nd Floor, Empire State Plaza, Albany, New York at 5:30-6:30pm

$40 per person - Trust members
$60 per person - become a member and attend reception*
$65 per person - non-members

*Includes a one-year membership at a special introductory rate of $20.00 and admittance for one to the reception.

RSVP for the reception by October 17, by calling the Trust office at (518) 486-9349 or e-mail [log in to unmask]  Advanced reservations for the reception are required, since space is limited.  Checks and credit cards accepted.  Payment must be received by October 17, 2005.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to support projects at the New York State Archives to preserve and expand access to our wonderful holdings and to make them available for educational uses.
