SCHUYLERVILLE — Another piece of history will be treasured for
generations now that Saratoga National Historical Park has added the
Sword Surrender Site.

The site, located a half-mile south of the village of Schuylerville on
Route 4, is where British Gen. John Burgoyne formally surrendered his
army to American Gen. Horatio Gates following the 1777 Battles of
Saratoga, a decisive moment of the American Revolution.
