There are extensive records on Connecticut-based Long Island Sound
vessels and owners in the U.S. Customs House Records, which are
now housed at the National Archives and Records Administration
(NARA), Federal Records Center, Waltham, Mass.  Greenwich would
have been served by the Customs House for the Port of Fairfield, and
later, the Port of Bridgeport.
