QUEENSBURY -- The Queensbury Historian’s Office and Chapman Historical
Museum are seeking photos and memorabilia of Queensbury during the
1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.

Photographs that show families inside and outside new homes
constructed during the period, children playing in neighborhoods, or
activity at businesses and tourist attractions that opened between
World War II and 1980 are of particular interest.

A photo scanning event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at
Queensbury Town Center.

Photos and memorabilia will be scanned while people wait, and the
images will be added to the Queensbury Historian’s Office digital
collection.

Some images may be used in an exhibit planned for the Chapman
Historical Museum this fall, in connection with the 250th anniversary
of Queensbury.
