I know that this is also called a hay barrack and that one exists at
Plimouth Plantation. Some still were in existence in  the Schoharie Valley
as late as the 1940s. The Dutch Barn Preservation Society built one, I
think, in Onesquethaw fairly recently. You might try Everett Rau for
information. I know of no period illustration, but that surely doesn't mean
that none is to be found.
