We have just added some revealing new images to the Little Falls Canal website at http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/hislittlefallscanal.html

This website was created last year to provide an image archive on the history of the 1795 canal, particularly the guard lock rebuilt in 1802. Remains of this lock still survive.

New images from the 1940s showing major reconstruction of that abandoned historic lock shed new light on the story. Follow the link to "new evidence" at the end of the page to the new images and information.
