Hello all,

I just subscribed to the NY History list today and I'm a bit timid about
posting anything. Nonetheless, I got up enough courage to say that I
live in Youngstown, Niagara Co., NY, and have been researching the local
history sources here for a number of years. If there is anyone out
there who is also interested in any facet of our Town of Porter's
history, I would be interested in corresponding.

The Town of Porter is on the far western edge of Niagara County at the
mouth of the Niagara River where it empties into Lake Ontario. Fort
Niagara is located here. The town has the Village of Youngstown and the
hamlet of Ransomville within its boundaries. Anyone interested??? :-D
