I asked my brother, who belongs to a tree lot organization and he suggested
the following -
"Normally I would go to the NYS DEC to get this kind of information. They
published a nice report that gave some of this data about 2 years ago. A
backup
would be to try the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse
University. They have quite a historical section there. Person to contact
would

Alternatively, Mr. Pachan could try the forestry people at Cornell. A good
name to
contact there is Dr. Peter Smallidge, State Extension Forester
