In addition to "Saratoga County Surrogate Acts on Two Estates; Letters Granted on Properties Left by Mrs. Grace M. Hayner and Jesse S. Wooley." Times Record [Troy, NY]. July 12, 1943: 13 col 8.

"Jesse S. Wooley, prominent photographer in Ballston Spa for many years, died this morning at his residence there after a long illness. He was active in church and civic affairs, being a member of the Baptist Church of which he was deacon and trustee. At the time of his death he was an honorary deacon of the church. Before the days of moving pictures, he traveled all through the state giving lectures illustrated by pictures he had taken. He is survived by one son, Carl of Ballston Spa, one daughter, Mrs. Franklin Kilmer of Schenectady; one grandson, Franklin Kilmer and one sister, Mrs. William Brown of Ballston Spa."
"Jesse S. Wooley." Times Record [Troy, NY]. April 29, 1943: 2 col 2.

"Jesse S. Wooley, 76, of Pleasant street died Thursday morning after a long illness. Mr. Wooley, a prominent business man in Ballston Spa for a number of years, was born in the Town of Wilton, May 23, 1867. He was the son of Edmond R. and Emma Winnie Wooley. The family were early settlers in the latter part of 1600 in Rhode Island.
"As a youth Mr. Wooley was employed by T.J. Arnold, local photographer. Later he purchased the business in 1887 and in 1915 sold it to Howard L. Humes.
"Mr. Wooley had been active in the Baptist church for many years, being a trustee and deacon of the church. He was a member of the Rotary club, the Modern Woodmen of the World and president of the former chamber of commerce.
"He is survived by one son, Carl S. Wooley, Ballston Spa; a daughter, Mrs. J.F. Kilmer, Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. W.A. Brown, Ballston Spa, and a grandson, Robert Kilmer.
"The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wheeler Funeral home. Rev. J.B. Freestone, Baptist church pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the Ballston Spa cemetary.
"The funeral home will be open Friday evening."
"Jesse S. Wooley." Schenectady Gazette. April 30, 1943: 8 col 3.

"BALLSTON SPA.—Rev. G.G. Johnson, Afred N. Wiley and Jesse S. Wooley left on the midnight train Monday for Florida, and will be absent three weeks. Mr. Johnson will attend the dedication of a church at St. Augustine, built by his father, Rev. G.J. Johnson."
"Notes from Out of Town." Troy Daily Times. January 29, 1896: 2 col 5.

"BALLSTON SPA.—Jesse S. Wooley will give an illustrated lecture on Florida at the Baptist church Friday evening."
"Notes from Out of Town." Troy Daily Times. May 11, 1896: 2 col 5.

Lots of leads there! Check with the family, churches, civic groups, chamber of commerce, business partners' companies and families, funeral home, cemetery, etc. "Mrs. J.F. Kilmer"/"Mrs. Franklin Kilmer"= Marion Eleanor Wooley m. June 6, 1917 J. Frank Kilmer.

Is he related to late actor Edgar Montillion "Monty" Wooley (1888-1963) of Saratoga Springs, I wonder? Monty Wooley was the son of William Edgar and Jessie Wooley, so the relationship, if any, wouldn't be of the first degree.

Best regards,

Christopher K. Philippo
Glenmont, New York
