MECHANICVILLE — A Kansas City man recently traveled to upstate New
York to begin walking the historic Knox Trail that passes through
Saratoga County.

Dave Fagerberg hiked all the way from Ticonderoga to Mechanicville,
following the route Col. Henry Knox used in winter 1775-76 to deliver
cannon to Gen. George Washington in Boston, which forced the
evacuation of British troops and ships there during the American
Revolution.
