The Aughguagas Indians are referenced in O'Callaghan's Documents Relative*
(1855) V:675 in Schoharie Cty. and on other pages. They were ~ to the
"Schoharies:" Indians on the margins of their society considered "losers" in
that they were not recognized by the Mohawks.
