Are you sure the place is called Newman? There is a place called Newcomb in the Adirondack region.

  I was searching old copies of the Adirondack Record(Elizabethtown)

http://news.nnyln.net/ {14 northern NY newspapers digitized and
searchable}

  and I found a mention of a place called Newman, while I was searching for
locations of old lunch wagons. Today, I can't find this place, does anyone
know where it was? What happened to it?

  Also, some newspapers around Oswego have been put online, digitized
www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html

  Does anyone know about other newspapers across upstate NY which are
online, in this format?

Best Regards
Mike Engle
