The New York State Historical Association is pleased to announce an
updated website for New York State History Day www.nyshistoryday.org.
The new website includes information for students, parents, and
teachers.  Educators can find resources to support the History Day
program in the classroom including information on available outreach
services.  A list of regional research institutions includes potential
topics fitting the 2006 theme: "Taking a Stand in History: People,
Ideas, Events."  Parents can look up deadlines and download registration
forms.  

Under the "Teachers" section, a listserv is available to educators who
would like to receive email updates and information about the New York
State History Day program throughout the year.
