Wasn't Bing Crosby's Holiday Inn, in the movie of the same title, located in Connecticut?

Early on in the movie Crosby shows a matchbook cover which locates the place. And the scenes, of course, were all shot on Hollywood soundstages - witness the *film within a film* at the end of the movie, where the camera pulls back far enough to show that the entire place is located on a soundstage.

Please identify any evidence for the Lake Placid locale.
