Here in Wayne County, New York, Town of Clyde, a "blockhouse" has been
reconstructed on the banks of the Clyde River at the site of an original
blockhouse, supposed to have been built by the French (traders?Jusuits?). I
have been unable to locate any documentation for the original building.

I have searched, Jesuit Relations, without any luck. But perhaps I missed a
reference there somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
