Dear NY Historians,

I have been unsuccessful in finding a source that lists the villages and
their dates of incorporation in that part of Queens County that became the
Borough of Queens on January 1, 1898.

Specifically, I am seeking a list of the dates of incorporation of each
village and the town(s) in which the village was located in the Towns of
Newtown, Flushing and Jamaica prior to January 1, 1898.

The two examples I do have are for the 2 villages on the Rockaway peninsula
that was part of the Town of Hempstead prior to January 1, 1898:

The Village of Far Rockaway incorporated in 1888 in the Town of Hempstead.

The Village of Rockaway Beach incorporated in 1897 in the Town of Hempstead.

I have the dates of incorporation for the villages in Queens County that are
now in Nassau County

Does anyone have this information?

Regards,

Walter Greenspan
