I agree with Scott Hanson's response that "of Flushing" was unlikely to extend to Hempstead or Oyster Bay (let alone Southold or Huntington) in 1665.
Probably unlikely, but might he have been born in Flushing (?) or associated with the Flushing (Quaker) Meeting?
